We found another hidden gem in Kyoto and that is “Somushi Kochaya”.  You can’t really tell from its appearance that this is a cute Korean medicinal dining spot/cafe because it perfectly blends in with the streets.  Having traditional Korean cuisine in the middle of the most historic city in Japan was such an unique experience. This place was opened by a lovely Korean-Japanese couple and the interior was on point. The gorgeous settings filled with some carefully selected furniture and chic fabrics reminded us of our last trip to Korea.  We ordered hearty warm pumpkin and chicken porridge, which were perfect for a cold day. We have a feeling that we’ll come back very soon for a cup of traditional Korean tea.
